EMS Environmental Statement

Neptune International are committed to aligning our business practice policies and environmental responsibilities with those outlined in the government’s Net-Zero Strategy: Build Back Greener, which is targeting the decarbonisation of all sectors of the UK economy to meet the net-zero target by 2050.

Neptune International initiated, implemented, and continues to re-assess and improve our Environmental Management System (EMS) which sets out a series of processes and practices that will enable us to keep reducing our environmental impacts and increase our operating efficiency. The EMS provides the framework that helps us achieve our environmental goals through consistent control of its operations.

Below is our total forecast of emissions and resources currently generated and used per annum:

Resources

Emissions

Scope 1 emissions (direct energy and processes)

17,000 KgCO2e approximately

Scope 2 emissions (indirect impact from electricity)

600 KgCO2e approximately

Neptune International have put in place initiatives within our business to reduce the resources we use, and the emissions generated by our operations. A review of our carbon emissions by the Carbon Trust determined that 96.8% of our emissions come from scope 1 emissions from direct energy and processes.

Neptune International have identified and executed plethora of measures and is part of our EMS such as cloud-based computer system, Car share, digitisation, Green energy initiatives, energy performance standards, investment in ultra-low emission vehicles etc.

Our EMS is reviewed annually, and our targets and results are published in our Annual Report. Interim reporting on the status of our carbon reduction goals is reported quarterly.
